A place to recover.

The amenities we offer at First Responders First are more than just creature comforts—they're part of the recovery process.

This is more than an opportunity to get space from the pressures that lead to destructive behaviors.

It's equally important to learn how to live and enjoy life free from alcohol, drugs, or other substances.

In-House Chef

The kitchen is the heart of our home. Our executive chef prepares three home-made meals a day—from scratch—and is able to accomodate any special dietary or medical needs (gluten-free, vegetarian, diabetic, or any other special foods needed during the detoxification process). Meals are served buffet-style, all you can eat, and some say breaking bread together is a vital part of the recovery process. Residents can request any favorite foods to be procured during weekly shopping trips, and we also have a coffee and snack bar open 24/7, with coffee, tea, hot cocoa, soft drinks, and snacks. And if cooking is your therapy? Residents have full access to the kitchen. A lot of residents leave with a few extra pounds.

Luxurious Accommodations

Our accommodations have been called "rustic ranch with a touch of elegance". Enjoy all the comforts of home, with exquisite beds, high-quality linens, flat-screen TVs, and spectacular views of the Angeles National Forest. Many residents enjoy their morning coffee, meditation, or devotional on spacious balconies overlooking the mountains.

Sports Courts

A sports court complete with both basketball and tennis courts for exercise and your enjoyment.

Library

When's the last time you had time to escape into a good book? All Residents are free to enjoy our executive, traditional, wood-paneled library. It's a refuge, with comfortable big leather chairs and shelves and shelves of books. The collection contains everything from the classics to modern literature to self-help to reference, with a special collection of signed copies of memoirs about addiction, written by and for First Responders. You'll also find computers with internet access to check your email (or even put in an Amazon order).

SHAVE & A HAIRCUT

Sometimes it feels good to get dirty. Explore our 1100 acres with ATVs, available for residents to trail ride (and are also used as transportation throughout the campus.) On Sundays, spend time enjoying the outdoors with an ATV specialist leading guided group tours. Stop for a picnic lunch at the lake or learn maintenance and the operating procedures of all-terrain vehicles.
